Green Properties of Graber Natural Shades

• Natural Shades with liners block up to 100% of UV rays when the shade is completely lowered. This lengthens the life of furniture, carpet and furnishings, saving landfill space.
• The fabrics used in the woven wood fabrics are stained using a boiling process. Stained materials are then air-dried, saving energy.

Eco-Friendly Raw Materials

• The fabrics offered in our Natural Shades program are natural; many are classified as a renewable resource, such as bamboo, rattan reed, grass and jute.
• All of the components of this product are 100% recyclable, including the natural fibers and wood headrail made from sustainable wood. Plastic components in Natural Shades contain up to 10% pre-consumer recycled material.
• Corrugated cardboard is used to package all products and is 100% recyclable. The cardboard itself contains 35 to 40% recycled content. The angle board used to reinforce the cardboard is 100% recyclable, and contains 80% post-consumer recycled material and 20% pre-consumer recycled material. Poly tubes, EPS pads, parts tub and bubble wrap used in packaging are also 100% recyclable.
• Custom box cutting machines are used to cut each box to the exact size of the blind. This process eliminates wasted cardboard, packing materials and shipping energy.
